More Ways To Use Envelope Punch Board

3D Papercraft Projects· Stamping Tips· Video Series - Creative Folds

3 Dec

My creative fold video series continues this week with creative folds for 3-D items.  This adorable candy holder design was shared with me by Joanne James.  The thing I love about it is that it uses the Designer Series Paper Stack that measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" and there is no cutting.

First you need to score horizontally along the short side of the paper every 1" (1, 2, 3, & 4) that leaves you a 1/2" stripe along the side.

Vertically along the long side of the paper you will score at the 1", 1 1/2", 2" 4 1/2" 5", & 5 1/2".  You will fold these score marks as follows mountain fold, valley fold and then mountain.

Next on the long side, you will fold over at each 1" score (double thickness) and put into your Envelope Punch Board  lining up with the 1 1/2" mark and punching.  You will then move your paper over to the 5" mark and punch again.  You will continue to do this on all the 1" score lines.  Finally you will be at the 1/4" score line you will line up the same way but just punch through one layer.

Along the 1/4" side you will need to use Sticky Stripe as it is the adhesive that works the best.  Then decorate as you wish.  I used ribbon at each end and several different stamp sets to get different looks.

This is a fun project for the kids to make, or as a party favor.  Hope you enjoy making them for your next party.

what a cool idea for using the envelope punch board. Sure beats cutting all those holes with an Xacto knife. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Love your videos – Wish you had a photo of the finished project at the top of the instructions – I often copy your instructions and print them out for future reference, but wish I could include a photo of finished project on my instruction sheet.
