Flower Garden Sympathy Card

Hand Stamped Cards· Video Series - WOW Moment

10 Apr

Flower Garden_Sympathy Card

Today's WOW Moment Video features the embossing folder Flower Garden.  This is an embossing folder that I seem to by-pass because the image is only on the right side of the folder.

I so love this card.  With the tone on tone, it has such a soft look, with the Whisper White Cardstock and the vellum butterflies.  This is one of the cards that we did at my retreat last weekend and it was a big hit.

I know we all would like it if we never had to make a sympathy card.  But we all know we will need to sooner or later.  I find it is much easier to make them when I don't need them, when my heart is not heavy from a loss of a love one.

Supplies Used:

  • #100730 Whisper White Cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" & 4" x 5 1/4"
  • #101856 Vellum Cardstock 2" x 2 1/2"
  • #123113 Flower Garden Embossing Folder
  • #118138 Beautiful Wings Embosslits
  • #126974 Early Espresso Class Ink Pad
  • #129669 Wood-Mount or #129672 Simply Sketched Hostess Set
  • #119247 Pearl Basic Jewels 150 total: 50 each in 3 sizes 5mm, 3 mm, 2 mm. 3 strips connected 3 mm pearls: each strip 2 5/8" long

    Linda,
This is a gorgeous card and I am inspired to dig out my SU! stuff to make some.
I'm usually drawn to lavender for sympathy cards, but this is so nice.
Thanks! I'm delighted that your card caught my eye at the Clever Chicks Blog Hop.
