New Twist on Flip Cards.

Hand Stamped Cards· Video Series - Creative Folds

14 Oct

Stampin' Up! has this beautiful Snowflake Card Thinlits Die in the Holiday Catalog to create a flip card.

New Twist Flip Card

In my Creative Fold Video today, I am going to share a new twist for an extension on this card.  I had never seen this version.  My customer, Susan Troyer, shared it with me.

Susan used a piece of Soft Sky Cardstock that measured 5 7/16" x 10".  As the video will show, you go under the knives on one side of the thinlit die to make a special flip on the front of the card.

I had went under the knife on the opposite side of the thinlit before, but never like this.  And I always had just used a 5 7/16" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock.

Is this way new to you?

Or have you seen this style of creative fold with the flip card before?

Check back on Thursday during my WOW Moment Video as I share a tip on cutting the "Brr" from this collection of thinlit dies.

Beautiful card! I love that glimmer paper, too. 🙂
I wish that they had made the flip design other than a snowflake–a circle, perhaps?–then added a snowflake die to fit inside the circle. That way, you get a little more "bang for the buck"…

We do have a thinlit die with a circle #133480 that you could do the same thing. We also have a label one #133479. They are on page 228 in our main catalog. Don't have a catalog you can view in my online store. Let me know if you have any questions.

This is so pretty! 😀 I've never tried making intricate cards before. *-*
