Linda, that is such a powerful piece that you posted . . . I love that one. No one can understand the sentiment unless they have experienced the loss that we each have. You never recover, but you learn to go on somehow. I have another favorite poem that you might also like. It reads like this:
The moment that you died my heart was torn in two, one side filled with heartache,
the other died with you.
I often lie awake at night, when the world is fast asleep,
and take a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheeks.
Remembering you is easy, I do it every day.
But missing you is heartache that never goes away.
I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain,
until the joyous day arrives that we will meet again.

May your memories comfort you now, and always.
With Warm Regards,
Thank you for this post, Linda. It really touches my heart as I know the sudden loss of a beloved husband; it will be five years this November. The loss becomes bearable but will never go away. Faith, family, friends, and continuing to do what you love will keep you grounded. My thoughts and prayers are with you an all who are going through the grieving process. May God's love and peace surround you.
What a beautiful poem, Linda! I'm so sorry you had to lose your husband. You have my deepest sympathies!
So sorry for your loss
thanks means a lot
Peace and healing light to you and yours, Linda.

My heart aches for you. You can not imagine the pain unless you have walked in the shoes.
