Today's Swing Easel card is a card we did at my August Stamp Retreat. I wanted to show you how to do the cutting for this card. There is no stamping in the video, but something I didn't mention in the video, that I wanted to point out is the Green Label on the base of the card. I used the frame & verse stamps from the Rose Wonder set. You need to place this at the base of the card with a dimensional and that is what hold the easel card up.
I started with a piece of 5" x 10" Card Stock. On the side of one of the 5" x 5" I went in 1" and started cutting at the 1" to the 2 1/4" inside mark. Then I lifted my cutting blade and started cutting again at the 2 3/4" to the 4". Then I moved my paper in 1/8" of an inch and did the same cutting. Started at the 1" to the 2 1/4" lifted blade and started cutting again to the 2 3/4" and stop at the 4". You want to do the same cutting on the opposite side of the card stock.
I then cut on the other two ends (bottom of the card and the top along the fold the same way as the other two side. Using the fold line as a guide to move in 1" and 1 1/8".
For the Designer Series Paper you will need a piece that measures 4 3/4" x 4 3/4". You will move paper in 3/4" and will start cutting at the 3/4" to the 4" on all four corners.
You will score the card base at 1 7/8", 2 1/4" and 2 3/4" just on the outside of the frame. In the video, I scored the middle all the way through and you won't do that. Even though my center piece that measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" will cover that score line.
It makes more sense when I can see it so thanks for the video. Love the card!
So glad the video helped.
A lovely way to create a scene with this stamp set 🙂
