So glad you joined us on the Creative Inking Blog Hop this month, with a theme of Color My World. Those that know me, know that coloring is not my favorite technique. But I have a lovely coloring technique to share with you called spotlighting. I even did a video to show you how simply it is to do this technique.
As you will see in the video, I used the Layering Circles Framelits to spotlight just a section of the stamp image. That way I don't have to color the whole card, but just the section I spotlighted with the circle framelits.
I used the Aqua Painter along with the Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi Ink Pads to color the flower in. I used both the Clear and the Gold Wink of Stella to highlight the flower. The flower comes from the You've Got This Stamp Set and the words are from the Butterfly Basic Stamp Set.
I think the Butterfly is a great accent and it is done with Gold Foil Sheet and the Bold Butterfly Thinlits Dies.
The sizes of Card Stock for this card are"
- 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Basic Black
- 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" Basic Black
- 3 1/4" x 5" Whisper White
- 4" x 10 1/2" Whisper White
- Scrap Whisper White, Melon Mambo and Gold Foil for the die cutting
Now it's time to head over to see what Diane Evans has created or back to Lori Mueller Blog

Love it!
I'm with you. Coloring is not my favorite activity- I don't understand how it is supposed to be so stress relieving. I think this technique may need to be my go to for teaching watercoloring 🙂
So pretty Linda!
