Here is another Shutter Card Creative Fold that was done by Joyce Coppens from Williamson, NY. She won third place with this creative fold, during my creative fold challenge to my Stamp Family.
All shutter cards are basically the same, you just cut and score in different places. Love the Designer Series Paper Joyce used the Blooms and Bliss. And look how nice the Avant Garden the free Sale-a-Bration Stamp looks with this designer paper.
Here are the directions Joyce shared on how to create this shutter card.
This Shutter Card is made from two pieces:
The base is 6" x 12"
Place 12" side across top of score board and score at 2", 4", 6", 8", and 10"
(Valley fold, mountain fold, valley fold, mountain fold, and valley fold)
Place 6" across top of trimmer and right side of paper at 5"
With blade at 2", cut from 2" up to 10" (first score to last score)
Rotate 180 degrees and repeat.
Place 12" across top of trimmer and right side of paper at 10"
With blade at 1", cut from bottom horizontal cut up to top horizontal cut
Rotate 180 degrees and repeat.
Remove center rectangle cut out
Continuing with 12" across top of trimmer:
Cut vertical 1/2 inch slots from inner cuts (top and bottom) of rectangle at 3", 5", 7", and 9".
Second piece is 4" x 8"
With 8" across top of score board, score at 2", 4", and 6"
(Valley fold, mountain fold, and valley fold)
Insert the 4" x 8" piece into the slots of the 6" x 12" piece
Layer and/or stamp as desired.
Sounds hard but once you do it once it's a snap.
This is such a beautiful card! Love the colors used too! Do you have a video on how to do this? TFS!
Not yet but I will
