Today's video is a quick tip on how to add color to your stamps to make a word jump out. I used the fun Bundle Cool Treats, found in the Occasions Catalog. This bundle has the stamp set, called Cool Treats, that has 36 photopolymer stamps and a set of 17 matching framelit dies, in the Frozen Treat collection.
I used the new Lace Doilies for accent, along with Silver Foil for the spoon, and Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso Card Stock to build my dish of ice cream.
The sizes of card stock I used for this card are:
- 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Smokey Slate
- 4" x 5 1/4" Cherry Cobbler
- 3 3/4" x 5" Smokey Slate
I also used the Stitches Framelits Dies. You can't find these dies in a catalog, as they are an early release. I think they add so much to a card. And match the Layering Oval, Squares and Circles Framelits. You really get a lot of bang for your buck with these framelits.
Speaking of bang for your buck. Why don't you give Stampin' Up! a Test Drive and purchase the Ultimate Bundle the Starter Kit? This is the best time of the year to join Stampin' Up! and see what it's all about. Not only will you get up to $251 worth of product for just $99, plus free shipping, you will get a discount on your future purchases. That means product from the new catalog. Not to mention you will be the first to see the new product.

Linda, I love your videos. I have learned so much and look forward to each one.
I'm wondering if there isnt an easier way to add color to the stamps, if the stamp is a clear stamp. Using the MISTI allows us to mask a part of the stamp while inking another part. Mask the word cherry, ink the other words in black and stamp the paper. Mask all the words except cherry, ink cherry in red and stamp the paper. No worries about the ink drying quickly and ink coverage shouldn't be a problem either.
Anyway, keep up the good work. Thank you.
Thanks for your kind words.
