Made this card at a Shoe Box Swap while I was at Stampin' Up!'s OnStage Event in Richmond VA. So love Shoe Box Swaps as I always learn something knew.
For those of you that don't know what a Shoe Box Swap is, it is when you design a card, and all the supplies are to fit in a shoe box to make the card. Every one taking part in the shoe box makes your card and you make every one else's.
This card was made by a member of my Stamp Family Mary Rodgers from Rochester, NY. She used the Big on Birthday Stamp Set, with the Floral Boutique and Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper, both of which are retiring. She also used the Petite Petals Punch and the Project Life Punches they too are retiring, if they aren't gone already.
Mary taught me something new. I had never used my Stampin' Write Marker to do Faux Layering. As you see in the video, I have always used a sponge dauber and my ink pad. But with the Stampin' Write Marker you get a different look. When Mary did her card she just did a small line, mine is bold and not as uniform, but I love the look
