I received this beautiful card in my recent Technique Challenge to demonstrators that are in my Stamp Family. They were to send me a card using a stamp technique and they got a chance to earn $75, $50 or $25 Stampin' Up! Gift Certificate.
This card done with the Bokeh Technique and was submitted by Joyce Coppens. Below I have done a video on how the technique is done. Here is the card I did. It is not as vibrant as Joyce's. You get a different look with different colors.
The sizes of Card Sock I used were:
- 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Whisper White Card Stock
- 4" x 5 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Card Stock
- 3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White.
To do this technique you select a few coordinating colors of ink and sponge or daub on a Whisper White Card Stock and cover it all.
Next you punch out different sizes of circles out of a scrap piece of card stock and you will use this as a stencil
Using the piece of Whisper White Card Stock that you sponged the coordinating colors on, place the scrap piece with circles punched out over top and daub or sponge on Whisper White Craft Ink.
Allow the Whisper White Ink to dry. This will take awhile since it is a pigment ink. You may wish to use your heat gun to dry quicker.
Then you will want to stamp over and embellish.
I used Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink to stamp the Birthday Blooms flower, and I added a Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Bee cut out with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies.
