What do you get when you add together over 6,000 pieces of cut card stock, over 65 ink pads and 100 stamps? An Amazing Retreat.
Last weekend was the first of two Autumn Stamp Retreats I will host this fall at Camp Judson, in North Springfield, Pa. There are no words to explain these retreats.
This year we had a Special Guest from Bowling Green, Ohio Sherrie Robinson. She came to check things out. She loved the camp. Here we are on a walk down to Lake Erie with Melanie and Mary Ann.
We also had special demonstrators that traveled all the way from Indianapolis, IN Amy Billingsly and Debbie Callon. Even from the Rochester, New York area: Tammy Lathan, Lisa White and Chris Pecora. Don't get me wrong every lady that came was special but these ladies traveled the furthest. Look at this table of grins.
Jodie and I put a lot of work in to this event, and by the time Friday night rolls around and the retreat starts, I am thinking why in the world do you do such big events? But by Saturday when the stamping is in full swing, and ladies are starting to get familiar with each other I just set back and smile. And know this is what it's about. Not the work, money or time that was put into this event, but the fellowship of other stampers. Just warms my heart.
The biggest question I am always asked is what do you do at your retreats. Well here is a sampling of the projects we did this weekend.
And then we had five wonderful meals prepared for us by our amazing chefs. These guys had fresh coffee each morning waiting for us. Plus made us baked pears, warm brownies, warm muffins, a beautiful salad bar, and the list goes one.
My next retreat is October 27-29, registration for my customers will open September 1 and run through the 20th. If we do not fill, it will open to everyone on September 21. Come give Stampin' in the Woods a go. I promise you will not be disappointed.
