Check out this oldie but goodie stamp technique called Retiform or Grid Technique. I did this technique years ago, and truthful had forgot all about it. But recently Sandy Duncan, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, reminded me of the technique by using it with my Half Full Million Dollar Stamp Set. So thought I would share today in a video below, this forgot stamp technique.
I love this technique because it allows you to showcase lots of different stamps.
You will want to stamp your first image and then take Post-a-Notes and block your image in. You will do sponge highlights within the block in area.
You will continue to move your card stock around, blocking in areas and stamping and sponging. I have seen this technique done several different ways, some using more than one color of ink to sponge, others extending out the sponging.
I kept mine simple and monochromatic. I used just one color, the Perfect Plum Classic Ink. I sponged and used the Aqua Painter to highlight some areas.
The two Stamp Sets that I used were Tuscan Vineyard, and my Million Dollar Stamp Set Half Full.
Now set back and enjoy the video, and then give Retiform Technique a try and share your creativity with me.
Have you ordered your Stampin' Blends, Stampin' Up!'s New Alcohol Markers? What are you waiting for? You are going to love them.
