New Spin On A Box In A Card

Hand Stamped Cards· Stamping Tips· Video Series - Creative Folds

27 Feb

Check out this adorable Box in A Card. It was submitted by Katherine Edwards from Harvey, ND for my TEAM Challenge last month that featured Designer Series Paper.

I personally had never seen a creative fold like this, so I was so excited to learn how to do the fold, and of course do a video for you.  At first it looks like it would be hard, but it really isn't.

You will see the cutting a scoring of an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock in the video.  But I also wanted to give you the sizes of card stock and designer series paper Katherine used to decorate this card.  Here is what the front of the card looks like.

Katherine used the Celebrate You Thinlits, Amazing You and Party Pandas Stamp Sets all from the Sale-a-Bration Sale.

Here are the sizes of the layering done on this card:

  • 2 pieces of Card Stock 4" x 5 1/4"
  • 2 pieces of Card Stock 1 7/8" x 4"
  • 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 3 3/4" x 5"
  • 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 1 5/8" x 3 3/4"
  • 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 3 3/8" x 4 1/4"

Isn't this the cutest card?   Katherine won $50 in product for this entry in our Stamp TEAM Challenge.  Here is a closer look at the sizes and score line to make thee card base.
