This is such a WOW card that Norma Johnson from my Stamping TEAM created for our Designer Series Paper Challenge last month. She placed third and earn $25 worth of product.
This challenge had so many fantastic entries. Every one who submits a card to the challenge has the privilege of seeing all the entries. I send them pictures of all the samples, with no watermarks. That is so they can then use if they want for blog posts, or newsletters to their customers. Another perk of taking part in the challenge.
Norma used the very colorful Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper and coordinating card stock. She used a stamping technique called Paper Piecing.
Norma used the Beautiful Day Stamp Set found on page 26 of the Occasions Catalog. She stamped and embossed the butterfly about 5 – 6 times on different papers and then cut out the little pieces for the different parts of the wings. The left over pieces she can use on another card.
But look closer, the detail on Norma's card doesn't end there. She then cut out 12 Stitched Squares from the Stitched Shapes Framelits from different card stock and the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. Adhered all these pieces to a piece of card stock and Dried Embossing with the Quilt Top Embossing Folder.
This card is so stunning. So much love was put in to this card.
