I am so blessed to be part of such an amazing community through my stamping journey. As many of you know, the last month has been very trying as I had to make a very hard decision and place my Mom in an assistant living for dementia patients.
The outpouring of love and support from the stamping community has been so overwhelming. The prayers, cards, calls and encouraging words have been so helpful. So from the bottom of my heart I say thank you.
My Mom's 85th birthday is Saturday. With social distancing, this has been a struggle for me. But I put out a simple request, on my Facebook Page and an e-mail to my Stamp Family and customers, requesting a card shower. In hopes of receiving 85 cards that I can send in to the home for my Mom. The response has been so overwhelming and humbling, as I am receiving way over 85 cards, with 6 more days to go, from all over the world. I wish I could sit with her as she opens these cards, but it will give me something to look forward to in the future when COVID is history.
Through this set back in life, I am once again reminded, about the amazing community of stampers I am honored to be part of, and the power a card can bring to some one. So even though I can't thank each of you personally, know that I greatly appreciate all of you.
Linda: You are truly going thru a rough patch. I would have sent you a card for your Mom as well, but I did not have an address to do so. If you wish to share, I will put a card in the mail tomorrow.
Your post is thank you enough. Thanks for sharing your story and inspiration. Love the smile on your mom's face! Hope her days is wonderful!
