You are going to love today's technique video, with the Blending Brushes that are new in the January-June Mini Catalog. These are a must have accessory for every stamp room.
First, I took the Layering Oval Dies and made a masking to sponge the inside of oval to create this card. I saved the oval I cut out.
Even though I blended color, Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green, in the inside of the Oval I was able to go in and color with my blends for the donkey.
Next, I took the oval that I cut out, and sponged it to create another look. As you can see, I layered with the Layering Oval with a Basic Black Scallop Oval. I used the negative image from that to use on my third card.
Finally I took the negative Basic Black Image and layered inside the cut out. This allows you to have three totally different looks with one technique using your layering ovals dies. Stampin' Up!'s Blending Brushes our the best way I have found to sponge backgrounds.
Now time to watch the video for more tips & tricks.
