Yesterday was one-of-those gray and cold days in Ohio. My creative juices where not flowing, so I spent the day in my recliner doing computer work. The beauty of being your own boss, you decide how you want to spend your day, and the recliner seemed perfect for the day at hand.
As you can see, I had a couple very appreciated rays of sun pop through my window.
I had my fireplace going, my hot cup of tea, and my CEO, Chief Executive Officer, the highest-ranking person in my company, ultimately responsible for making major decisions right beside me. And that would be also the Princess of the House, my sweet dog Sweetie.
She is fourteen and half now, and having some health issues, but she makes a point to be as close by my side as possible. During this social distancing I am so grateful to have her with me. I know the days are getting near when she won't be by my side, so am grateful for these days that I can just enjoy her company.
Are you a dog lover and know what I am taking about? The unconditional love is so never-ending.

Thank you for this wonderful post, Linda. I am a small time SU demonstrator but also an ardent dog lover and know full well the healing and comforting power of that small dog by your side. Sweetie is lovely and will hopefully be with you for several years yet. My precious, little (probably a multipoo) (Kiki (whom I rescued when she was 8 and a half) lived to be 17 so you never know. My current stamping assistant and all around love bug is a little toy poodle named Lady whom I rescued in Dec. 2019 when she was 10 3/4. Lady will be 12 next month and is going strong. Small dogs can live a long time (even with some health challenges) and I pray that you will have your Sweetie by your side for several more years. Thank you again for this wonderful post and for your faithful blog and beautiful projects. Hug Sweetie for me and stay warm. Blessings – Janice Eastes

Thanks for writing and telling me about your four-legged buddies. They sure wrap their paws around your heart. As I sit her typing my little Princess is right beside me.
I pray you are right and Sweetie is with me for many more years.
