So glad you joined our Creative Inking Blog Hop, as we focus on Masculine Cards. Don't know about you, but I struggle when it comes to masculine cards. I am finding the new stamp set, Soar Confidently, combined with the Blending Brushes makes it easy to create masculine.
This card I used the Blending Brushes with So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, and Night of Navy to create the sky on Basic White Card Stock. I even added a little bling with the Champagne Rhinestones, something I normally don't do on a Masculine Card.
On this card, I used the Blending Brushes for some tone on tone, with the Seaside Spray Card Stock and Ink. I so love this color, and hate that it is retiring. I stamped the trees from the Winter Woods Stamp Set in Soft Suede. I really took a bold step with this card, as I never add a ribbon to a Masculine Card. BUT. . . the Scalloped Linen Ribbon in the Seaside Spray looks so masculine I think, so I used it. What are your thoughts?
I also added a Mini Wobble Spring on the Hot Air Balloon, hard to tell by the picture, but it gives a fun movement to the card. Don't know what Mini Wobble Springs are? Check out this video where I used them.
I used the Mini Wobble Spring on this card too, along with the Scalloped Linen Ribbon on the airplane. The top piece of this card is Basic White, and then I cut out with the Curvy Dies, and finally ran through the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
