It is hard to believe it has almost been a month since I did a blog post. I so appreciate all the visits, e-mails, texts, phone calls, and cards I have received since my surgery. You have no idea how much they have meant. My surgery was on February 15, and it has been a whirlwind every since.
I planned a couple weeks of videos and blogs posted before my surgery, figuring I would be up and running (no pun intended) by then. Well I am still non-weightbearing, which makes it hard to get into my stamp room and move around, but my real challenge has been brain fog. I am learning that this is very common after a major surgery. I can’t seem to focus on anything for too long. Doctor is encouraging me it will come back.
Well we all know the best therapy is rubber and ink. So my son moved some things to the dining room table for me, so when the mood hits me I can stamp. My place is pretty quiet being by yourself, so stamp does pass the time.
I have gone back to some basics, like designing lots of different cards with the same supplies. That is something I use to do back in the day. When I decided I needed to make money at stamping, I worked with a coach, who told me I needed to sell something 5 times before I made a profit from that purchase.
Well I took that to heart, and in the days of doing 8-12 workshops a month, it was a joke between my customers, “We might as well buy this set, as she is going to continue to show it to us until we do purchase it.” There is something to be said about that. We can get totally different looks from the same supplies. And that is what you will see for awhile. Lots of great ideas I have been stamping with the same product.
First I knew I needed to made some anniversary cards. I send members of my Stamp Family anniversary cards the month of their Stamp Anniversary. So I designed this card, using the new Irresistible Blooms Dies. These dies are part of the Online Exclusive Products that was released this month, plus is my Customer Appreciation Tutorial for qualifying orders this month. So the dies and the Basic 3D Embossing Folders, were right there on my table.

This card layout is perfect for any milestone Birthday or Anniversary, when you use the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Hard to see in the picture but I used the Textured Shimmer Paper for the number which adds some added texture to the card.
Have to admit it feels good to get back to blogging, and sharing what I love. I know it will take a little longer to get back to YouTube, but trust me I will be as soon as possible. So stay tune.

Linda, I hope you’re feeling like yourself soon. I miss your creative fold cards! Get well soon. Prayers for you! Debbie
Thanks Debbie for letting me know you enjoy my creative fold cards. I miss doing them. But like I said need to wait for my brain to find my body. 🙂 But stay tune I will be back
Yay! So happy to see your post today! Take all the time you need to recover. We’ll all be here cheering for you. Love the card too!
