23 Aug
Card Sketched are fun to work with. if you are a member of my newsletter, you will be receiving card sketches each month.
Card Sketch Card

Do you receive my customer e-mail newsletters? Well if you are not, you need to make sure you sign up in the right-hand column here on my blog.

In the past, my newsletter were basically a way of communicating what was going on in my Stamp Business and with Stampin’ Up! Or basically a sales newsletter.

Well, a couple months ago that all changed. Now I send out newsletters twice a month, and yes they still have sales information, but now there is so much more.

The first e-mail of the month will feature sales information, but also a card sketch. It will also have a card done with the sketch, to help inspire you.

The second e-mail of the month, will featured a color challenge, along with any stamping news. I don’t know about you, but I’m usually stamping with the same colors. But by having a color challenge I hope it will it encourage you to use different colors together.

The card above uses a card sketch from a month ago. It is my hope in the common month’s to share additional cards done with the card sketches and color challenges each month. To see the original sketch and color challenge, along with the sample cards, you will need to get my e-mails.

This sketch is basically using three strips of designer series paper, or you could use card stock. I used the Inked Botanical 6″ x 6″ Paper that measured 3/4″ x 4 1/8″, and adhered on to a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic White Card Stock. I then ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, with my Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.

The sketch design then called for a circle image. I choice the Stylish Shapes Dies and stamped my sentiment on there, but then used another image. This time from the Darling Details Bundle. With any card sketch you can always add something a little different.

Sure hope you like this new addition to my newsletter, and that if you don’t currently get them, you will sign up, and watch for more creativity done with these sketches.
