Thanks for joining our Blog Hop as we share simple stamping. Card making has involved in to a major art, which is beautiful. But I think sometimes we forget why we fell in love with this art. It was simply the ink, paper and stamps.
We think now we have to spend hours and major dollars to make a card. So we find ourselves not stamping. I hope this Blog Hop reminds you how beautiful cards can be without all the fluff. And it motivates you to get back to stamping.
I used the Darling Details Stamp Set which is a two-step stamp set, and the bundle I used for this month’s Customer Appreciation Tutorial. I think two-step stamping adds interesting depth to your project. I then did a a layering technique for my card along with masking.
I cut three pieces of Basic White Card Stock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ for my card base. Then a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece and a 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece. I adhered the pieces stock on top of each other with just a little adhesive, to hold the layers together so they didn’t move. I randomly stamped these layers. As you see this gives you a border around the card stock edges.

I also stamped the bold flower on to a Post-a-Note. Then I cut it out for a masking over the flower so I could stamp my leaves. This gives you another layering option.
I then removed the layers and added two pieces Night of Navy Card Stock for layering. One measuring 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and the other 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″. I layered my sentiment and also fussy cut out an additional flower.
This Simple Stamping Tip can be used over and over again, and even with different sizes of card stock. Check back later in the week for a totally different layout for Triple Time Stamping

Can’t wait to see what the other ladies have to share with us. If you just buzzed over from Kim Baker’s post and need to get back, or if you want to keep buzzing by over to Lisa Brown’s post, click the buttons below!
