My current condensed stamp situation. Let’s just say my stamp room has been on the run. In November I packed up my stamp room and headed to Florida, for what I thought would be the winter.
Well I got to Florida and let’s just say things were not what I thought, the weather was awful. For the whole month of December I only got to go to the beach for a couple of hours. But that gave me time to stamp in my new stamp room. I got videos done ahead of time, monthly tutorial, TEAM anniversary cards, and birthday cards done I was way ahead of time. So time wasn’t wasted. But God was just giving me time to get what I thought I needed to do done.
My 46 year old son was to come down and join me over Christmas. But I always say enjoy this second of your life, as things can it change instantly, and that it did.
On the 15th of December, my son was diagnosed what they were calling Vertigo. He was extremely dizzy, headache all the symptoms that pointed to Vertigo. He made the decision not to come down as he was having issues with walking and felt he couldn’t make it through the airport, let along get on a plane.
On December 24th, he was taken to ER, and after a CAT Scan determined he had a mass or blot clot at the base of his head. They transferred him to a larger hospital to do a MRI, but couldn’t because he was on meds that needed to be out of his system for 48 hours before they could do the MRI.
Jason kept saying Mom I’m fine don’t come home. All Christmas Eve, I prayed for a clear direction,. Do I stay put like my son wanted? Fly back to Ohio and get a rent car and leave every thing in Florida, not know what was really going on or how long I may be needed. Well the Holy Spirit, made it very clear I needed to pack everything up and head home.
So my stamp room in Florida was torn down Christmas Day. I headed out the day after Christmas on my own and headed home. This stamp room was on the run once I decided I needed to be home with my boy.
On my trip home, it was determined Jason had a stroke. I was so grateful I was on my way home. Twenty-one long hours on the road, but I knew I was doing the right thing. Jason was very blessed as the stroke was in the base of his brain. This controls motor skills for walking. There are no speech issues or paralyses in any other part of his body. PTL, hence why the symptoms was diagnosed as Vertigo.
Jason does have a road ahead, but we’ve got this. My stamps have now moved in with Jason, along with me, as we are here to help him out. So very grateful to have a business that will go through all the ups and downs of life.
I am so grateful to have the room to have my temporary stamp room here with me, as it’s my therapy when life gets to me. My friends always ask why don’t you retire, but they don’t understand when life gets tough pounding on an ink pad is what the doctor orders.
So bottom line, I am up and running and ready for the start of the New Mini tomorrow and Sale-a-Bration. You may not see me posting as regular as I normally do, as lots of doctors and therapy appointments to work through. But I’m open for business as of today, in Lakewood Ohio.
God is good.
