We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop

So great to be back Blog Hop with my TEAM this month. We are showcasing Stampin’ Up!’s Clear Blocks on page 110-111 in the Annual Catalog. Did you know our Annual Catalog is considered a catalog and idea book?

That’s right, there are several pages in the catalog that teach you some basic technique for your paper crafting needs. On pages 110-111 you see this is where you can purchase the clear blocks to mount your stamps on, but it also shows you some techniques you can do with these clear blocks. I have chose to use the blocking technique for my cards.

The blocking technique is simply where you make a chucky background by inking the block, spritzing it with water, and pressing it on your paper. The cool thing about this technique is you get a different look each time.

I used the same bundle for both of my cards, Friendly Foliage. This is the featured bundle in my Customer Appreciation Tutorial this month. I also used the same color ink pads: Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist. On the first card, it’s a little harder to see the technique as it’s hidden behind the die-cut.

With my second card, you can really see the technique well. Isn’t it a cool technique? It is so easy to do. I embossed both cards with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder and accented with the Shades of Green Hexagons. Same product, but oh what a different look.
