A Beautiful Violet Dreams Tri-Fold Card

Fancy Fold Card Videos· Online Exclusive Products· Video Series - Creative Folds

Tri-Fold Card using the new Violet Drams Suite Collection
Violet Dream Suite Collection

Today’s card combines two of my favorite things—beautiful flowers and a creative fold!

This tri-fold card features the new Violet Dreams Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! I love how the different panels unfold to reveal the “I appreciate you” greeting. It is such a lovely way to let someone know how much they mean to you.

The Violet Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper does so much of the work for us. Those delicate violets make this card feel soft and elegant without making the design difficult to create. You know me—I love a card that looks impressive but is still easy and enjoyable to put together!

Cutting and Scoring Measurements

  • Highland Heather Two-Tone Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • Score at 1 1/4″ and 5 1/2″
  • Violet Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Violet Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper: 1″ x 4 1/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock for the inside: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock scrap for the stamped and die-cut violets

The 1 1/4″ scored section folds down to create the narrow decorative panel across the front. When the card opens, the larger Basic White panel and greeting are revealed.

Creating the Violets

I used the Framed Violets Bundle to stamp and cut out the beautiful floral image. The image was stamped in Peaceful Pine and colored with Stampin’ Blends in:

  • Gorgeous Grape
  • Highland Heather
  • Peaceful Pine
  • Granny Apple Green

I love combining several shades when coloring flowers and leaves because it gives the image so much more dimension.

A little Wink of Stella added sparkle to the violets, while the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush was used to color the rhinestones for a soft, glowing finish. Rhinestones in the flower centers provided the finishing touch.

The “I appreciate you” greeting was stamped in Gorgeous Grape on the Basic White inside panel. It is a simple sentiment, but it says so much. Now watch the video for more helpful hints.

My Violet Dreams Customer Appreciation Tutorial

The Violet Dreams Suite Collection is also featured in my exclusive Customer Appreciation Tutorial this month. The tutorial contains additional projects created with this gorgeous collection—but today’s tri-fold card is not one of the tutorial projects.

That means you get even more Violet Dreams inspiration when you place a qualifying order through my online store this month!
