Let Your Designer Series Paper Steal the Show

Let your favorite Designer Series Paper do the heavy lifting on your next card
Velvet Meadow Suite Collection

Sometimes the prettiest cards are the ones that allow the Designer Series Paper to do most of the work!

For today’s card, I wanted the beautiful floral pattern from the Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper to be the main attraction. This paper is part of the Velvet Meadow Suite Collection, and with its colorful flowers and wonderful detail, it doesn’t need lots of extra layers or a complicated card layout.

I simply let that gorgeous paper become the background—and the focus—of the entire card.

To add a little extra elegance, I used the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies with pink foil. I hot foiled the butterflies onto the Velveteen Assortment Specialty Paper. The soft, luxurious texture of the velveteen paper paired with the beautiful shine of the pink foil creates such a striking contrast.

The butterflies add dimension and movement without covering too much of that gorgeous floral pattern. Each element works together, but the Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper is still allowed to steal the show!

That is one of my favorite things about Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. When a pattern is this beautiful, you don’t need to overthink your card design. Choose your favorite section of the paper, add one or two special details, and let the paper do the rest.
