Accordion Fold Card with Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper

Fancy Fold Card Videos· Stampin' Up! Sept-Dec Mini Catalog· Video Series - Creative Folds

This Fun Fold Card captures the beauty of the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper
Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper

Today’s Fun Fold is a beautiful Accordion Fold Card featuring the warm colors and cheerful patterns from the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper.

I love how each section of the card steps forward, giving this Fun Fold lots of dimension while still providing plenty of room on the back for a personal message.

This card was inspired by a card I received from Lee Amburgey during my recent card challenge. Thank you, Lee, for sharing your creativity and inspiring today’s project!

Follow along with me as I show you how to cut, layer, and assemble this Accordion Fold Card.

Cutting Measurements

Golden Glow Cardstock

  • Two pieces: 4⅛” × 5⅜”
  • One piece: 3⅜” × 4⅜”
  • One piece: 2⅝” × 3⅜”
  • One small scrap for the die-cut sunflower

I used regular Golden Glow Cardstock for my card, but I highly recommend using Golden Glow Two-Tone Cardstock for this project. The lighter weight of the Two-Tone Cardstock helps reduce the overall weight and bulk of the finished card.

Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper

  • One piece: 4″ × 5¼”
  • One piece: 3¼” × 4¼”
  • One piece: 2½” × 3¼”
  • Two pieces: 1″ × 5¼”

The two narrow strips highlight the Basic White panel on the back of the card and bring the pretty sunflower pattern all the way around the design.

  • One piece: 4″ × 5¼”
  • One small scrap for the die-cut sentiment label

Finishing Details

I used the dies from the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle to create the small sunflower on the back of the card. The flower was cut from Golden Glow and Early Espresso Cardstock, with Mossy Meadow Cardstock used for the leaves.

The “Hello, Friend” and “Thinking of You” greetings were stamped in Early Espresso Classic Ink. The greetings are also from the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle.

For one last cheerful touch, I added several 2026–2028 In Color Butterflies. Aren’t those tiny Golden Glow butterflies adorable?

The Radiant Sunflowers Bundle is part of the coordinating Sunflower Fields Suite Collection, which is also featured in my monthly Customer Appreciation Tutorial. You can receive the tutorial FREE with a qualifying order placed through my online store this month.

I hope this Accordion Fold Card inspires you to pull out your favorite Designer Series Paper and create a special card from the heart!

Be sure to visit again next Tuesday for another Fun Fold video.
