Double Reveal Fun Fold with Two Surprises Inside!

Fancy Fold Card Videos· Stampin' Up! Sept-Dec Mini Catalog

22 Sep

Today’s Fun Fold card has not one, but two surprises waiting inside! It begins with a cheerful sunflower-covered front, but when you open the first flap, another beautiful pattern from the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper is revealed. Open it once more, and you’ll discover the final inside greeting and plenty of room to write a personal message.

I used Two-Tone Cardstock for all the colored cardstock pieces. Because it is slightly thinner than our regular cardstock, it helps keep all these wonderful layers from making the finished card too bulky.

The front features the beautiful Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper, a layered sunflower, and the friendly “Hello, Friend” greeting. The Golden Glow Bordered Ribbon adds a pretty finishing touch along the narrow side panel.

But don’t stop there—this card has more to reveal!

Beautiful fall card with a double reveal opening.

The first opening reveals another gorgeous sunflower pattern. I love how each layer gives us another opportunity to show off the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper!

Now open the center section one more time for the final surprise.

The second reveal opens to the “Thinking of You” greeting and an additional Very Vanilla Cardstock panel with plenty of room for your handwritten message.

Cardstock and Designer Series Paper Measurements

Cajun Craze Two-Tone Cardstock

  • 5-1/2″ × 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″—main card base

On the main card base, measure 1-1/2″ in from one side and cut up to the 4-1/4″ score line. This creates the narrow side section of the card.

  • Three pieces measuring 3-1/4″ × 3-1/4″—layers for the three square panels
  • 3-3/4″ × 4″—front layer
  • 1-1/4″ × 4″—narrow side-panel layer

Very Vanilla Cardstock

  • Two pieces measuring 3-1/8″ × 3-1/8″—inside greeting and writing panels

Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper

  • 3-5/8″ × 3-7/8″—card front
  • 3-1/8″ × 3-1/8″—first inside reveal
  • 1-1/8″ × 3-7/8″—narrow side panel
  • Two 1/2″ strips—one for the top of the inside greeting panel and one for the bottom of the writing panel

Golden Glow Bordered Ribbon

  • Enough ribbon to wrap around and tie onto the narrow side panel

WATCH THE VIDEO

The direction of the folds and the placement of the inside card are much easier to understand when you can see them, be sure to watch the coordinating video for the complete assembly and exact placement of every layer. I’ll walk you through the Double Reveal Fun Fold step by step so you can create one right along with me.

I hope you enjoy discovering both surprises inside this week’s Fun Fold! Be sure to come back next Tuesday for another creative Fun Fold card.
