Sometimes the best stamping happens when friends get together with no big agenda—we simply create, visit, and have fun!
Recently, a couple of friends joined me for an afternoon of stamping and playing with the new Stampin’ Hot Foil System. This fun Halloween card was designed by Leigh Amburgey of Stamp with Leigh in Mentor, Ohio, and she shared it with us as a make-and-take.
The playful spiders and “BOO” greeting were created with the Web of Fun Bundle. For the background, Leigh used the brick design from the Echoes of Detail Hot Foil Dies with Silver Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls directly on Designer Series Paper.
I love how the silver foiling adds shine and interest without making the card feel complicated. The spiders, brick background, and little pop of purple come together to create a fun—and not too scary—Halloween card.
Our cards don’t always need lots of complicated layers or techniques. Sometimes a few great dies and a touch of hot foil are all we need to make a card stand out.
