Have you ever created purple leaves? I made this card for a special friend who loves everything purple—and it brought back a funny memory.
Years ago, she made purple snowflakes, and we have joked about them ever since. So I decided that if we can make purple snowflakes, we can certainly make purple leaves!
I started with Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, Fresh Freesia Cardstock, and Very Vanilla Cardstock.
The beautiful copper leaf background was created with the Botanical Glow Hot Foil Die. I added more copper-foiled leaves using the Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Dies.
The delicate Very Vanilla frame was made with the Framed & Fabulous Hot Foil Dies. The Stampin’ Hot Foil System and Copper Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls gave all those leaves their gorgeous metallic shine.
For the greeting, I stamped “Thinking of you often” from the Simply Leaves Stamp Set onto Fresh Freesia Cardstock with the Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin’ Pad. I cut the words apart and arranged them across the center of the card for a playful, layered look.
Purple leaves may not appear in nature very often, but they are perfect for a handmade card created especially for a purple-loving friend!
