Welcome to the We BEE Stamping blog hop! Our theme is Creativity in the Air, and this card is a reminder that a project can take a lovely turn when something doesn’t go quite as planned.
I used the Framed & Fabulous Hot Foil Dies with copper foil on Very Vanilla cardstock. The smaller oval foiled beautifully, but the larger image made with the excess foil came out spotty. I liked the effect, so I ran it through the Softly Woven Embossing Folder. The texture turned that imperfect foil impression into an interesting background for the greeting.
Behind it, I used a 3-3/4″ × 5″ piece of Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper. I embossed the paper with the Softly Woven folder, too, then layered it onto 3-7/8″ × 5-1/8″ Cajun Craze cardstock and a Very Vanilla card base.
For the leaves, I used the Luscious Leaves Hot Foil Dies with copper foil and the Hot Foil System. I also used the excess solid copper foil for the small leaf accent. A few Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems finish the card.
That spotty foil was a happy surprise. Have you ever turned a crafting mishap into your favorite part of a card?
